Looking at the top of the ranking, NVIDIA’s GeForce series is overwhelmingly popular.

Among them, the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 seem to be chosen the most.

Also, rather than being concentrated on a specific manufacturer or product, the choices are fairly spread out.

Graphics Card Manufacturers

Manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, and Kuroutoshikou are chosen frequently.

Kuroutoshikou is not usually associated with graphics cards, so this result was a bit surprising.

Graphics Card Price Range

The main price range is about 50,000 to 110,000 yen.

The popular RTX 4060 is usually priced between 40,000 and 60,000 yen.

The RTX 4070 (including SUPER and Ti) is around 90,000 to 120,000 yen, and the RTX 4070 TI SUPER is about 140,000 to 160,000 yen.

Graphics Card Benchmark Scores

*Benchmark scores are referenced from PassMark.

Based on benchmark scores, the selection rates for each score range have been compiled.

Most selections are in the 15,000 to 35,000 range. The RTX 4060 is just under 20,000, and the RTX 4060 Ti is in the low 20,000s.

The RTX 4060 (Ti) is popular because it offers enough performance for smooth gameplay at over 60FPS in demanding 3D games, while still being reasonably priced.

The RTX 4070 is around 25,000, and other RTX 4070 models are just over 30,000.

The RTX 4070 series is suitable for those who want high FPS in demanding 3D games or want to enjoy 4K resolution.

The Custom PC Tool developed here allows users to search for parts, compare prices and scores, and easily see cost performance.

Graphics Card Chip Manufacturers

NVIDIA stands out in the popularity ranking, and this becomes even clearer when looking at chip manufacturers.

Intel has recently entered the graphics card market, but its performance and cost performance are still lacking, making it a tough situation for now.

Graphics Card GPU Chips (NVIDIA)

Focusing on NVIDIA, the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 are at the top.

There are also some higher-end models like the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090, but their prices are extremely high and their performance is more than most people need, so they are less commonly chosen.

Even for demanding tasks like 3D gaming or video editing, the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 are sufficient. Higher-end models are mainly for users who want to use AI, stream games, or do multiple tasks at once.

Graphics Card GPU Chips (AMD)

For AMD, the latest 7000 series stands out.

The Radeon RX7600 is similar to the RTX 4060 in terms of performance and price, making it popular among users who want to play 3D games.

Graphics Card GPU Chips (Intel)

For Intel, various chips are chosen in a balanced way.

Graphics Card GPU Chip Generations

When grouped by series, the RTX 40 series is overwhelmingly popular.

The RTX 30 series comes next, but the reason for choosing the previous generation is not clear.

Data by Graphics Card Specifications and Features

Next, statistics are shown by specification and feature.

However, when choosing a graphics card, graphics performance, price range, and manufacturer are usually the main criteria. Therefore, it is likely that the selected parts just happened to have certain specifications or features, rather than being chosen specifically for those features.

In other words, it is difficult to distinguish whether a part was chosen for a specific feature or if it was simply a result of other main criteria. Please keep this in mind when reviewing the data.

Graphics Card Video Output Ports

Graphics cards can have DisplayPort (DP), MiniDisplayPort (miniDP), HDMI, USB Type-C, D-Sub, and DVI ports. The number of each port is summarized below.

Recently, most graphics cards have a total of four ports: three DisplayPorts and one HDMI port.

Other ports like miniDP, USB Type-C, D-Sub, and DVI are rarely included, so those who need them must specifically look for such models.

That said, miniDP is rarely needed if DP is available, and D-Sub and DVI are older standards, so there is almost no situation where they are required.

Maximum Number of Displays Supported by Graphics Cards

Most graphics cards have four video output ports, so the maximum number of displays that can be connected is four.

If only more screens are needed (even with lower graphics performance), it is possible to increase the number by also using the motherboard’s video outputs.

Graphics Card Body Length

The length of graphics cards is often between 200–250mm or 300–350mm.

Generally, higher performance cards tend to be longer.

The graphics card must fit inside the PC case, so it is important to check both the card’s length and the maximum supported length of the PC case.

Number of Fans on Graphics Cards

Graphics cards with two or three fans are most commonly chosen.

If there is only one fan, it must spin faster to provide enough cooling, which tends to make more noise.

Therefore, as shown in the graph, two or three fans are recommended. There is not much difference in noise between these two options.

Graphics Card Power Consumption

Power consumption is mainly in the 200–300W range, forming a peak in the graph.

The RTX 4060 uses just over 100W, while the RTX 4070 is around 200–300W.

Semi-Fanless Feature on Graphics Cards

The semi-fanless feature stops the fan during low loads, which improves quietness and extends fan life.

About 80% of users choose graphics cards with this feature, and about 65% of products support it, so there are likely some users who specifically want this feature.

Graphics Card Slot Size

Most graphics cards occupy 2–3 slots, with some models taking up even more.

Popular models like the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 usually use 2 or 2.5 slots, while models above the RTX 4080 often use 3 or more slots.

Graphics Card Memory Capacity

GPU memory is most commonly 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB.

The RTX 4060 comes in 8GB and 16GB versions, and the RTX 4070 comes in 12GB and 16GB versions. The high selection rates are influenced by these models.

Low Profile Graphics Cards

Low profile generally refers to a compact design with reduced height and width.

However, as graphics cards have become more powerful, they have also become larger, so low profile graphics cards are now rare.

Low profile graphics cards are more likely to be chosen for increasing the number of video outputs for multi-display setups, rather than for improving graphics performance.

Summary: Graphics Card Statistics

The popularity ranking, price range, manufacturers, and selection rates by other specifications and features of graphics cards have been summarized in graphs.

Graphics cards are made by many different manufacturers and are chosen in a balanced way, but in terms of chip manufacturers and brands, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX series is overwhelmingly popular.

In particular, the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 series are the most popular.

Many users choose these models because they offer the performance needed for demanding 3D games at a reasonable price.

In addition to graphics cards, analysis of other PC parts and the entire custom PC market is also available, so please refer to that as well.
